DJK/Roy Marble

The fall from grace discussion got me to thinking more about other examples from Iowa past.

Roy Marble came to mind. Iowa's all time leading scorer in hoops, suspended from NBA in his rookie season for failing a drug test, and losing so much because of drugs...something that has come back up in his life in the last year or two still.

But, Marble was off campus and out of school when this happened. DJK's situation is new territory.

Makes you wonder how players like Marble, Moe and Horton would have gotten along/how long they'd lasted had they been Hawkeyes in today's era. 25 years ago was a totally different world. Much easier back then for a department to deal with things quietly and internally.
