"DJK clearly the best wideout here"

That was a bad pass.

To put it nicely. TJ Yates is miles away from the NFL. Always throws to his left except for 2 plays and always throwing to his first read. Not good for DJK being split wide to the right when the QB closes that side of the field off as if Nnamdi Asmougha is on D.

Sorry, but that sounds bad for DJK. Does his usual give up on a pass and let it get picked, and then he tries to show up the ref? Ouch!

Quite the assumptions...geesh. Horrible pass lobbed at the endzone where DJK had to turn into a db and try and deflect the ball. Then the pass along the sideline he was on a knee in the white area just OOB and wasn't able to react quick enough to get out of the way of the side judge. Hardly showing up the ref.

Thanks. Doesn't sound "flagrant", but still not too bright.

Let his defender pick off the ball and then guilty of sideline infraction. Awesome stuff.

Hunter seems to be in on a lot of plays.

Wow, that interception was not his fault. The sideline play he just wasn't able to get out of the way in time.

I understand you're filled with hate and want to talk bad about him, but you could stick with talking about what got him thrown off the team. He's given you enough ammo there. No need to make stuff up.

I've always thought DJK runs and moves like Jerry Rice, because he runs without a lot of wasted motion he is moving faster than he looks. Long strides and no side to side movement.

Did I really just read a couple posts ripping on DJK for that Pick. Really? We do have some boderline uneducated folks in here.

DJK made some good catches. No way was that int his fault (as explained a post or two ago, the qb not doing the greatest). In fact, at the end of game on the 3rd down play at the goalline, if the qb looks up, DJK backed up in the endzone with enough separation, that a soft touch pass could have been the game winner (but the qb got smothered instead).

DJK will get picked up in the draft as a late rounder, his talent is shining through and he shows the capacity of knowing the right things to say at an interview. Hunter played well enough, but it was hard for me to track him.

Chill yourselves out bros. I'm actually a DJK fan...even still. I didn't say the pick was his fault. Obviously a bad pass by the QB. However, it is true that he failed to knock it away from the DB.

The penalty on him was not at all flagrant. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. All in all, I was just pointing out that this game was his opportunity to stand out. Those were two almost consecutive plays where he did for the wrong reasons.

Are you really comparing DJK to Hinkle? Seriously:confused: Hinkel couldn't carry DJK's jock!

I'm saying the same thing will happen to DJK that happened to Hinkle in the NFL draft and prospects for making an NFL team.

Not fast enough usless it's New Orleans or New England. Not fast enough to return. Not a playmaker. What's he gonna do in the NFL? Play safety?

EDIT: Many Iowa fans, including myself, also had high hopes for Hinkle in the NFL. BTW, Hinkle was drafted FA and missed the final roster with the Ravens. I don't know what's happened to him since.

I guess I'm going to beat a dead horse here. Picture this: DJK will be unable to outrun any NFL cornerback or safety. He hasn't shown any ability to make a play on the ball when there's a 50-50 chance for him to make a play.

DJK's prospects for being an NFL wide receiver are limited. This was before he got into trouble.

DJK's only hope of making an NFL team as a receiver will be as a slot receiver.

When you compare DJK's speed to an NFL player like M. Colston of New Orleans, they're similar. There are major differences however. Colston has height and playmaking ability

Thinking ahead a bit but I wonder if he starts for an NFL team ever if he will list Iowa as his college or say his high school.

This is an incredibly stupid post, all of it. DJK will likely run somewhere in the mid 4.5's which puts him squarly in the middle of NFL receivers. He nearly led the B10 in YPC which speaks to his playmaking ability, he also lead the league in kick off returns, which seems to contradict your statement that he isn't "fast enough" to be a kick returner.

This is literally the dumbest thing said on the board today, and that includes someone who said Tony Romo is better than Ben Rothlisberger.

Time will tell duffer - I'm talking about the NFL here.

I have to apologize to Ed. His last name is Hinkel. Two years ago, someone posted on the net that he was a receiver on the Indy Colts practice squad. If so, good for him.

yeah cabse Derrell never made a play. He never returned a KO for a TD vs Ohio State or Minnesota and he never scored 3 TDs against Michigan.

Dont quit your day gig.

There is a lot more to being an NFL reciever than speed. Ask Heyward Bey about that one. And I am pretty sure Jerry Rice was "slow" out of college. Now I am not saying DJK will be like Rice, but you sure as heck can't say he has no chance. Intangibles matter more than raw talent in the NFL. There are a ton of recievers that can't outrun LB's in a sprint that go on to have great NFL careers. Now, if you want to say that he won't measure up at the combine, that is fair, but he is a football player and a gamer, he proved that the last 4 years.

He was the OC at Regina the last I knew.

You know, I wish people would sometimes read the entire post before they critisize it. It seems, to some, a perceived insult is like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

I don't doubt DJK was a gamer at Iowa.
I hope he succeeds in the NFL.

Ya happy now?

Jerry Rice had playmaking ability Boat...
