Iowa's Derrell Johnson-Koulianos hoping to prove worth to NFL - NCAA Football - SI.com


Though Johnson-Koulianos said he no longer had much of a relationship with coach Kirk Ferentz, he remains thankful to Hawkeye fans.

"My heart's with the program and it always will be. I want to thank them for supporting me for five years," Johnson-Koulianos said.

Ironically, this whole thing has given DJK more exposure than he could have ever hoped for going into draft day. Say what you will about bad vs good exposure, but one thing is for sure, more teams know about DJK today than they would have without the incident.

I pray DJK keeps his act together and gets a chance to shine at the next level. Great Hawkeye.
