Get your facts straight. TCU AND Boise St won't both be in BCS bowls. There can only be one that gets to the BCS. Plus I assume ND will lose to either Pitt or Stanford and keeping them out of the top 14 which they have to be in to get to the BCS
With that said if we are 11-1 we should still be around 10-12 and will get a BCS bid. They would love to take a team like Iowa that will bring 25,000 plus fans.

Thats not true theoretically they (BSU&TCU) could both make BCS bowls...

I was at the Ark St and Michigan games, but flew into Chicago...did not know there was a flight into Des Moines from Frankfurt

Sorry Flew on Northwest/delta to Detroit and then from detroit to Des Moines. I guy in line behind me saw my hawkeye sweatshirt at in the Delta Line at Frankfurt/Main and found out we were on the same flights. Me returning from Octoberfest and he was going home to Des Moines...he is married to a Frohlien and has lived in Germ for awhile. He lives in Frankfurt...WOndering if you guys could have a two person I club in Frankfurt...Now that i think about it there probably already is an I club at Ramstein for somthing.

There is a flight into Des Moines from Franfurt but you have to connect in Detroit...Which is an awesome airpost BTW...

I have a lot of hobbies - one of them is watching the Hawks and BSing with people about them. Maybe I should take up building ships in bottles or something. Do you have any suggestions?

You are totally wrong on the Hawks not getting a BCS bid if they go to 11-1. Because they have the tiebreaker over Penn State due to head-to-head meeting (assuming Penn State does beat Ohio State this week and Ohio State beats Iowa next week), Iowa goes to the Rose Bowl, which if I have checked recently, IS A BCS BOWL GAME! The only way Iowa does not go to the Rose Bowl, or any BCS game, is if they lose two of the next three and Penn State wins out, or Ohio State wins out.

I boycott ESPN and ABC already before any of this happened , started back in 2003 and the only time i watch those channels is if the hawkeyes are on them. Never been to Disneyland and dont plan to , rather go to the waterparks in WISC or Texas with my family . ESPN has changed so much over the last ten years i cant stand to watch it , they are a fan of who is demand and who is in first..they could give a rats *** about smaller schools and fan bases..so why give them my time ? Ten years ago IOWA , BSU and TCU would have been the story to report on , now they are the stories to be beaten down and into submission , by calling them weak conferences , weak scheduling yada yada . Then in the unfortunate (in ESPN or Mass Media Afffilate eye) a big school gets torn to shreds in a Bowl Game, they will make light of it , then come up with excuses , show maybe 30 seconds of it , then cut right to a school they favored or right to draft implications . In other words they wont beat it to death like they did Tim Teabags knockout blow by kentucky for 3 weeks , ohh hows Tim doing , oh i hope he is ok , whats this mean to Florida , hows tims mom , she makes a great apple pie , i was just talking to Coach Meyer while he was making a Credit Card commerical showing his rings off ...meanwhile back at the rannch.. a hawkeye goes down on a helmet to helmet and lets question the call , forget asking if he is ok.
