Directv screwing outback bowl

It's not all the fault of DirecTV. Negotiations between any cable company and the local channels happen all the time. When they can't reach an agreement, that is when the channel goes off the air. But the local channel is just as much, if not more, to blame. They are the ones holding out for higher fees, which in turn increases your monthly bill to your cable company. I live in Iowa City and the same thing happened here two years ago with DirecTV. It took 2-3 months for them to reach an agreement. It does suck. I suggest, as others have, getting an antenna.

You are spot on with this! It is mostly the fault of the local channels. This time it's KCCI 8 in Des Moines or the local ABC affiliate in KC. Next it will be a Dish channel or cable. I watch more of my local channels only because they are seamlessly integrated with my DIRECTV. As far as I'm concerned the locals should be paying the satellite and cable providers to rebroadcast instead of the way it is.
