Anybody else have issues with Direct TV, and Quest.
Direct TV:
-Sometimes the picture and the audio dont match up
-Volume from station to station varies wildly. One channel you have volume on the TV about as high as it will go and the next one is just fine. Changing from channel to channel is a crap shoot as far as volume
-Multilpe TVs on one box makes it sometimes difficult to change channels. Have to point the remote just right, hold your tongue a certain way. A pain for sure. I know I could get another box but nickels and dimes.
-Feel like they may have taken advantage of me a bit. My own fault but I jumped to Direct at the first of the year when the Mediacom/Sinclair broohaha was going.
Just wondering if I am the only one experiencing these problems. I like the programming but the nuts and bolts are a little annoying

I have only seen the first part. Doesn't happen a lot but when it does it is annoying. I have also only seen it on the HD channels.

Try reseting your receiver(s).

or call them.

Never had any of those issues and have had Directv forever.

I have had DirecTV for quite a while. When we moved last summer, we got Dish Network because they were cheaper to set up. As it turned out, about 2 months ago, Dish added a bunch of new fees and got way more expensive. We're back with DirecTV.

My observations:
- DirectTV service/hardware are much better. It seemed like we lost Dish every time the wind blew. Over teh 10 years or so that we have been on DirectTV, I think we lost it 2-3 times in really heavy rain.
- DirectTV customer service is much better.
- DirectTV HD is much better than Dish. Dish just looks pretty much like regular digital.
- Prices are about the same (for me, getting ESPNU, BTN and local channels, DirectTV is a bit cheaper even).

I haven't had any problems with the audio/video matching up. You might want to call on that.

I had the volumn issue, but only on 1 channel (channel 23 - local Des Moines channel). The rest are all about the same.

This is just my experience, of course...

My only complaint is that my bill is consistently going up for no apparent reason.
I have made no programming changes in the past two years. But 2 months ago my bill went up $9.00. I called them to see about changing to get a lower bill. they gave me a $10.00 discount per month, for the next 12 months.
Not sure it's all that great of a deal, but it's $120 less I have to pay this coming year.

It's likely because of changing channels across satellites. For example, KWWL's signal is coming from a different path than HBO. It will also help explain why during really bad weather some channels come in while others don't.
