Dion’s great response to finding out the fine for fans rushing the field

I don't know what Dion was doing prior to being hired as the CO coach, but it sure wasn't watching much college football. This week I think he said he didn't even know Iowa State was the 'Cyclones'.

Nothing wrong with that. But I thought the fine was for everyone. But Big Ten doesn’t have a fine for rushing field.

I know there are fines for rushing the field or storming the court in certain situations. I'd say the college should pay the fine and hope there is another game worth storming/rushing to pay another fine for.

It’s 0.46% of Deion’s yearly salary.

If we’re being honest, for that small amount of money compared to the millions they spend per game for various expenses why not budget $50k for a potential field rush fine? If it’s appropriated beforehand I don’t see the problem. Grocery stores budget ahead of time for theft…

Meh. I did wonder why they rushed the field beating Iowa St. I realize this isn’t 1992 anymore, and ISU isn’t dogshit, but why are you rushing the field after beating the 22nd rank opponent at your crib?

The SEC has had an anti-field storming policy and fine structure for many years, and I always suspected their fans were a little jealous when they'd see BTen fans storming fields with no repercussions. I was amazed that they were so obedient and never stormed their fields...until a few years ago. Then one team's fans broke the ice, then it started happening a little more often, so this year the SEC upped the anty.

The conference used to have a graduated policy of fining the school $100,000 for the 1st offense up to $500,000 for 3rd offense and beyond. But starting with this season it's a cool $500,000 fine -- paid directly to the opposing school (!) -- for ANY offense of fans storming the field. Would've liked to have seen Dion's face if the B12 had THAT penalty!

They retired jerseys for two players that went collectively went 13-12 over two seasons with a schedule as soft as Iowa's and your shocked? I don't know if Colorado is that pathetic or if the fanbase is just that desperate to be relevant again. I'm honestly not sure which.

I'd love to see opposing fans start to to storm the field after a loss only to see the home teams fans falling in and then get a huge fine. Wouldn't that be great for a laugh.

What's the fine for rushing the field if you're fans if the visiting team? And is there extra for stealing their goalposts.
just wondering since Nebraska is currently ranked. Thinking of making the trip.

I will donate $500 to the Children's Hospital if you do it with your shirt off and a big I painted on your chest, and blow a kiss to Matt Rhule like Keith Duncan did to Scott Frost. I won't be there to see it so it needs to be on TV.
