Upper Iowa finishes in 3rd place as a team at the Division 2 national tournament this weekend with only 5 qualifiers. Former Hawk Justin Decker fails to place but the other 3 all finish in the top 3. Tyler Mumbulo gets 2nd at 125, Kyle Pedretti (MFL) finishes 2nd at 133, Travis Eggers (MFL) wins the title at 165, and Mitch Norton (Nashua Plainfield) gets 3rd at 174.
UNO wins the tournament with ease even though they only won 1 of 5 finals. But what a great showing by the UIU Peacocks!! Congrats to coach Grimm as well on being named coach of the year.
