That 87 team was pretty darn good. Maybe as good as Virginia Tech this year.

So did I - or the Top 25 cut out from the newspaper anyway.

I'll never forget that loss to OSU that year.. One of the more disappointing losses I can remember. That team was rolling, and thought they would handle OSU in Carver. OSU was a pretty good team that year, too. Dennis Hopson.. I remember that guy. One of those guys that seemed to have our number along with Lafester Rhodes, Rodney Monroe, etc.

Lafester. Didn't he score like 50% of his career points in that one game against us?

The '87 basketball season was one of those moments in my formative years that told me Hawkeye sports + expectations = recipe for letdown.

Oh well, at least we ain't Missourrah.
