I didn't notice that specifically, but I did notice that he and Booger McFarland leave a lot to be desired as color analysts.
This is what happens when one TV station does all the football games. I listened to Eddie Podolak, not so much Dolph, so I cant say what Brown and Booger said but lots of negative reviews online.
It's a tough gig that they have to an extent. Not every former coach or player is cut out for that. What I think is too bad about that industry is that regular folks that go to journalism school that are just sports fans like us would do so much better at it if given the chance. Yet it's not about that it's about face/name recognition. Booger is a former college player at LSU and in the NFL. Mack Brown was at Texas forever and has a ring. It doesn't matter if they are any good, college football fans know them so that's good enough. I guess that's ESPNs line of thinking on it. Because they sure don't bring in any new folks in fact they are trimming the fat letting a lot of talent go like Iowa's own Chris Hassel. It's too bad I really like him he deserved better.

I especially liked it when he said that Iowa's bowl loss streak was due to unfortunate pairings, because, to paraphrase, "All those schools are from the south and have better players..."
That's just brilliant analysis there.

My fiancé is a UT alum... and she just kept rolling her eyes every time he talked. The only positive that comes from his commentary is the way he drawls out "Booger."

What was funny - on some play all us Hawk fans knew what was coming - Mac asked Boog what he wanted to see here, and booger said "anyone but Wadley". One second later...hand off to Wadley. I loled
