Did you actually think we'd win BIG?

I was never quite sold on the hype this team was getting in the realm of final 4 talk, big ten title talk, etc from the media and fan boys alike. I always thought this would be an upper division team ( 4th or 5th place) finishing around 10-8 and winning 1-2 in the NCCAs. And, I think we are still heading on that direction, maybe 11-7 or 12-6.

We blew a lot of chances, but we are what we are. When you struggle to shoot the ball and can't close out games (especially at home) it is going to very difficult to win your conference.

I have felt the same way. One of the things that frustrate me is how Iowa has lost games. The Big 10 overall is not as strong as I thought it would be. Good teams but not great. I was hoping for a 4th place finish and a 11-7 conf record. Still both attainable. Substitution patterns and lack of a go to guy have been frustrating.

I think all of the Big 10 teams are looking forward to the postseason be it NCAA or NIT. A step down in competition for a few games will be nice for everyone that gets to keep playing after the BTT.
