Did Jermelle Lewis get in trouble during '02 season?

I'm not sure if it was the 2002 season or sometime in 2001, but I do believe he got in a little trouble at some point.

I didn't start the thread, I just found the story, so why ask me? I would guess, however, it has something to do with wanting to know the details and seeing if we're in a "pot calling the kettle, black" situation when it comes to MSU and Chris L. Rucker.
 
In 2002 Jermelle battered Michigan! I am not sure if he was charged with the crime, but it was a complete outrage he played the next week.
