Did I just hear Cam Newton say on Rome that

You could be right. The comment may mean that Cam doesn't understand it is wrong. Could also mean that he's tired of being asked about it and he's moved on from the ordeal.

Continuing my devil's advocate line of thinking, if I were involved in a situation like Newton was and I was innocent of any wrongdoing, I'd probably answer the question similarly. I'd probably have grown tired of trying to convince people as well. What's he really going to say to appease people at this point? I mean short of falling on his own sword and admitting to all wrongdoing.

+1

My line of thinking as well.

It’s on the school IMO. I think I’d have the same thoughts Cam seems to. “Hey I’m doing work in the NFL. If you want to put someone on the hot seat about it, go talk to Auburn. They broke the rule by paying me. I’m focused on the NFL. So you can continue to dwell on it, but I’m done. I DON’T CARE”
