I don't blame him for saying that. Why should Cam care? He can't control what his dad does.

He might care, if he had to give back his Heisman and Auburn had to vacate its MNC.I don't blame him for saying that. Why should Cam care? He can't control what his dad does.
Yeah, that makes sense. Any HSchooler just needs to find another person to do the dirty work and it's all good and legal. I'm sure Cammy didn't know about his dad and 180k. No reason to blame the kid. Wow.

Wow. Wow. You really put me in my place. But you're right. I don't blame a kid for something that their parents do. I wouldn't want my kid blamed for something I did wrong. Nor would I have felt any guilt if my ol' man had done something stupid and embarrassing.
What proof do you have that he knew what his dad was doing? The question isn't about whether it's "all good and legal". The question was should Cam feel about it? I haven't seen any evidence that would support a conclusion that Cam should feel guilty himself. Cam is on his way to having an excellent NFL career. I don't blame him a bit for wanting to move on.
First of all it has nothing to do about anything legal or not.
I agree. Still, the NCAA was wanting to hang Auburn and they were unable to get any thing to stick. Makes it hard to take away titles and Heismans when that's the case.
And by the way, I was born in Huntsville and started off a Bama fan before moving to Iowa at a young age. So nobody on this site probably hates Auburn more than me. I can understand why people hate that program, or think they are dirty or whatever. I'm just saying I don't blame Cam for not feeling bad. That's all.
he doesn't care if his Dad did anything and it doesn't matter if he did because he is moving forward not backward(when asked about the $180k)? Anyone else hear that today? What a joke.
I never said he should feel bad about it but he should care and it does matter. Saying that he doesn't care and it doesn't matter tells me he really doesn't understand that it is wrong.
He might care, if he had to give back his Heisman and Auburn had to vacate its MNC.
You could be right. The comment may mean that Cam doesn't understand it is wrong. Could also mean that he's tired of being asked about it and he's moved on from the ordeal.
Continuing my devil's advocate line of thinking, if I were involved in a situation like Newton was and I was innocent of any wrongdoing, I'd probably answer the question similarly. I'd probably have grown tired of trying to convince people as well. What's he really going to say to appease people at this point? I mean short of falling on his own sword and admitting to all wrongdoing.
Can't take away the memories. Plus a Super Bowl trophy and many million dollars can fill any hole in his heart created by having his trophy taken away.He might care, if he had to give back his Heisman and Auburn had to vacate its MNC.
