Did Donahue ever handle KOs or FGs?

He was a kicker in HS

Listening to Ryan's combine interview in which he says he can also do kickoffs and field goals and has a range of aboug 50 yards, and in fact warmed up before games doing that, is there a reason he was not used for KOs and FGs, especially when our other two kickers were struggling?

I was a bit surprised we never saw him on kickoffs (I can understand not having the same guy do field goals and punts). Northwestern was the only team I can remember recently who did this, and he wasn't all that good at it.

My guess is they didn't want to fatigue his leg and saw his future in the NFL as a punter, so they kept him focused on that.

I'm sure he was a kicker in high school (where you don't have specialization, and people play multiple positions), and I'm sure practicing with kickers meant he got a chance to practice 'stationary' kicks. There's obviously a reason why punters don't do kickoffs/FGs/XPs and why kickers don't kick punts...
