Did Cowherd ever eat crow?

After the hate that Cowherd spewed all season against our team did he backtrack or give Iowa any props after the Orange Bowl win?

He's really ugly. That's payback enough, from where I type.

Although when we were 8 or 9-0 he said our reward for a good season was getting destroyed by USC in the Rose Bowl. I have a feeling if that match up took place at the end of the year we would be a descent favorite.

Well, when you see how well USC played in the Rose...wait...the Orrr...no...wait...what bowl were they in again???

In order to eat crow, you have to admit you were wrong about something. Not going to happen with Cowherd or Jim Rome either. They are legends in their own minds.

Ummm, Cowherd bashes lots of teams and gets it wrong half the time. Why would he single out Iowa to admit he was wrong about us? And how much did he truly bash Iowa? Everyone overreacts to everything nowadays. If you called his show and said "you bashed Iowa all year and they won the Orange Bowl, give them some credit!". He'd probably first be shocked, and then respond with, "I've talked about Iowa for a grand total of 1 minute and 45 seconds this year". Remember he works for ESPN, that's a national broadcast, not just in Iowa.

He bashes the big 10 quite a bit, and has owned that. Rome definately owned picking against Iowa in the Orange Bowl the next day.

You weren't paying attention this season. There was a constant stream of links to Cowherd this season that always had a pretty vicious anti-Iowa slant. IMO of the anti-Big Ten drumbeat this year he was the worst.

Frontrunner? Yeah.

Bandwagon guy? Yeah.

Does he reach with his analogies? Absolutely.

Bad case of homerism? you betcha.

Headline/ soundbite guy with no indepth anaylsis? omg yes.

With all that said, dude knows his college football. If he picked Iowa to win or lose it was probably well thought out or good reason why or why not.
