Did anyone else see this in the championship game??

There was a clipboard or briefcase...something. It said IOWA on it. Some guy was carrying it on the Oregon sideline.

Not sure. Perhaps you saw one of their playcards that has different pictures on it and it had Iowa as one of the squares???

They do carry around a lot of crazy cards with pictures and words. I saw Jim Rome on one. Not sure what that's all about.

Oregon does make things interesting, I'll give them that.

I saw this too. It wasn't one of the giant play cards they use. It was just some random guy down around the 10 yrd line. Looked like a clipboard or something with IOWA written on it in big letters.

Correct. It was in the first half of the game, around the 20 on the Auburn sideline.

it is the same guy who is at the phoenix area bowl games. he always is carrying that clip board. think he is an official of some kind. have seen it several times over the years at those bowl games - fiesta, etc.

We've been seeing these IOWA clipboards pop up here and there for quite some time now, but I can never recall what the story behind it is.

The Iowa package is where they run it twice between the guards for 2 yards and then try a 40 yard pass down field.
