Did anyone else see the video of M Ali on Opening Day?

That was very hard to watch. To see a great athlete reduced like that because of a trenchant illness is truly difficult.
 
i saw him being wheeled out. had the news man not said who it was, i wouldn't have recognized him as Ali. has lost a lot of weight, it appeared.
 
It's surprising at some level he lasted to be 70 years old.

The most powerful sports moment I've witnessed first hand was when Ali lit the Olympic torch in Atlanta. I remember just sitting there in stunned silence.

One of the great tragedies in the history of our nation is that Ali's disease has prevented him from being an outspoken public figure and leader.
 
Having grown up during Ali's reign as the baddest man on earth, I tend to avoid seeing the shell of himself that he has become. It is just too painful.
 
Ali started going downhill after he turned away from Christianity and adopting the muslim faith. He was a great athlete and an unusual character, but I wouldn't want him to be a spokesman for anyone.
