Did anyone else honor Chris Street in 1993?

I was a 7th grader and I wrote big #40's on each of the back of my shoes. Was anyone else in basketball at that time, and did you do anything like that?

I was also in 7th grade, and my basketball team (Northwest Junior High, represent) wore '40' patches on our jerseys.

I remember our whole AAU team having 40 shaved in the back of our heads, some did put it on their shoes as well. A few wore the shirts that were made during practice. It was a huge deal.

I was in 7th grade. I already wore #40 because of him, I shaved a 40 in the back of my head and had CMS #40 on my shoes in Sharpie. My oldest son is named after him.

Absolutely. Everyone on our middle school team had #40 on their shoes. I still have the "40 Forever" poster on my basement wall.

Was living and working in St. Louis. I created a big #40 on a piece of cardboard and put it in the back window my car. Since I still have my Iowa plates and Iowa Alumni sticker on my car, several people commented on the "honor" that I had in place.
