Did anyone at the game see what the NE player did that got Kirk so upset??

Rhodes has pulled off a gigantic shocker nearly every year he has been at ISU. This year, they walk into Morgantown and shock 4-7 WVU in triple OT.

This moves ISU up to the 93rd best football team in the country!!!

Kudos to Coach Rhodes!!! His B12 record is now 14-27!!!!

#Momentum!!!!

He was mad. He got manhandled all day...he wasn't used to that. He barely had a stat line...Mr. All World...lol. And I am still on cloud 9. Love it.

I'm looking at Van Sloten and wondering what he wanted to do at that moment. If I had the game recorded, I'd be tempted to look for a later play where BVS went hunting for Gregory.

I've been keeping up with Iowa FB for a long time and thatwas the maddest I have ever seen Ferentz by far

Totally agree but the ref may have thought it was more hands to the face.

It would be nice to see video to see if this was after the whistle , if it looked flagrant, etc.

I firmly believe KF was pizzed that the refs didnt toss that nebby player out of the game, they must have thought it was a punch. It also would have been good to see what K-Coble actually did.

According to Henry, the guy had a hold of his pads around the collar with one hand and slapped him on the helmet with the other hand. Henry said, that all he tried to do was pry him loose...

This one?

If this was in the third quarter as the text to the photo says, then this isn't the play. The play that drew Ferentz's ire happened in the fourth quarter on Weisman's touchdown.

Both my 6th grader and 4th grader were able to read Kirk's lips when we were watching that live.

While I was watching the game, I thought Nebraska was playing pretty dirty/chippy. The refs were quick to call some pretty lame interference/holding calls. At the time, I dismissed some of that notion in my head as homerism. The PI that set Pelini off was admittedly pretty questionable. Now in hindsight with no need for homerism, I thought Nebraska was certainly dealing a fair amount of low blows. Some went right up to the line of throwing the flag. Others crossed it.

I was pretty happy when my 6th grader...who's not a huge sports fan and somehow picked up Pelini's first name while only half-heartedly paying attention while taking occasional breaks to look up from his tablet came up with "You mad, Bo?" (complete with 'come at me' arms) when Pelini went nutso.

The captain chooses his angry spots well. Just when you think he has no emotion he does something like that and fires everyone up. Contrast this with Bo Pelini who is a screaming maniac all the time and thus it never means anything.
