Did anyone at the game see what the NE player did that got Kirk so upset??

I just re-watched the game and was curious on what (Gregory #44 NEB) did to (Krieger-Coble IA-80) that caused the duel unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on our next to last TD. The announcer said he was upset about the off-setting aspect of it. KF was obviously very worked up over it and just wanted to know what started it.

Also did anyone else notice on the Martin-Manley 3rd QTR TD the NE Defender made no effort to avoid stepping on him after the catch?

Go Hawks-- hoping to see you all in Tampa in January.

I thought he was more upset that his player retaliated for the off-setting penalty bc he was yelling in the direction of a coach saying that was ********

Yes I did. That pizzed me off. Not enough to warrant a flag IMO but cheap none the less.

No. He was definitely screaming at the refs. I have no idea what happened, tv didn't show it.

Omaha.com slide show has a photo of Gregory snapping KC's head around with a hand to the face.

Their players hit our kids in the head a couple times. Dirty play yesterday. Probably how they're coached

They seemed to step up the dirtiness after the hat to the ref's face by their leader.

monkey see- monkey do.

I hate to say it but they deserve better there with all their tradition but at the same time their glory years are gone and it's time for a classier run program to get more recognition. Go HAWKS!

When I read Ferentz's lips I thought he said "He threw a f*****g punch! That's f*****g bull****!"

The photo seems to confirm that.

i thought the same thing too, but i think he actually stepped over the ankle instead of stepping on it.

If the ref saw the kid throw a punch enough to throw the flag, then he saw enough to eject him. Pretty simple.

Totally agree but the ref may have thought it was more hands to the face.

It would be nice to see video to see if this was after the whistle , if it looked flagrant, etc.

I firmly believe KF was pizzed that the refs didnt toss that nebby player out of the game, they must have thought it was a punch. It also would have been good to see what K-Coble actually did.
