Please. Stop complaining so much. I understand he can be obnoxious. But unfortunately tv announcer talent seems to be degrading more and more each season. I CAN'T stand BTN announcers, and that has to be a valid complaint.

They over use similar catch phrases every single game, they seem to having meetings about which buzz word to use over 10 times a game each week, usually share the same stories they research about each team each every game, not the sharpest, dull voices even, and lack any insightful game break down that any casual sports fan can't already see.

I can live with Dickie V. At least when you compared to how bland BTN can be.

Picture quality somehow though ESPN always looks over compressed or something though. About only thing BTN has going for is that.
 
Vitale + Izzo = college basketball's equivalent of a night out playing cards at the Bada Bing.
 
Vitale uses his 1990's shtick. Worked pretty well then, not so much 20 years later.

Having said that, he is a very nice guy. A friend of mine and I talked to him at the Final Four in New Orleans 21 years ago. He is a kind hearted gentleman.
 
I'd rather watch Rosie O' Donnell and Roseanne mud wrestle in the nude than listen to him call a game.

I'd rather eat the rear end of a menstrual skunk than listen to Dicky V

On hearing this news I pressed mute. I realize this is Monday and the games isn't until Tbursday but you can't be too careful.
 
How many Iowa games has he done that you all remember. He did Iowa's big win over the O$U in 1991. I think he also did Iowa's win at North Carolina in 1989. Didn't he do one of the Duke games too? Anyways it seems like Iowa generally plays well in games that he does.

Um...I'll take Pam Ward/Pam Oliver AND Dukie V. Or the Monday Night Raw team from WWE. Some of them speak coherent English.
