Developmental program is no excuse

The developmental excuse has always been just that, an excuse.

"Woe is us, we have to develop players here at Iowa. None of the other 129 programs have to do that." Kirk

What a load of BS. Kirk focuses on the negatives instead of the positives. Everyone I have ever known in life who does that is a ****in loser.

Agree.
All programs develop players. It is called coaching.

What is sad, 7 out of the last 8 years Iowa has looked physically weaker than most opponents.
really is a good point.
Which shouldn't make that much difference since teams like Oklahoma State, et al, are always weaker than their opponents.

Since Iowa's team bases it schemes on physicality, this does become a problem, however. Is this a problem of physicality or a problem of schemes? Why shouldn't the coaching staff understand these weaknesses and scheme the team for success (like in the tOSU game)?
