Depth of Drake's 3 pointers

I can't believe how many NBA range shots they put up. I'm not sure if they were shooting that deep to try and create momentum or they just weren't spacing the floor well enough. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did and were throwing up bricks...but I just thought it was a horrible strategy in a hard fought game.

Maybe a point of emphasis for Iowa was to recognize the shooters a little earlier. Lord knows they should have been working on that. In that case Drake may not have been able to get any better looks than the real deep ones.

I thought for the most part Iowa did a nice job identifying and getting out on the shooters. IIRC the Drake player off the bench that was hitting everything he looked at in the first half ended up with only three points in the second half. Drake seemed to be pushed farther out than they wanted in order to get shots off.

Drake is in a tough position. I don't think they can pay enough to get a decent coach who doesn't have some other motive in taking the job. Without that, they will rarely return to the heights experienced under the Davis tandem.
