Defense

I know Marble and White are our two best players but their defense is suspect at best. They stand up when defending the perimeter , which allows them to get beat off the dribble a lot. The most frustrating part for me though is the number of chances they take on the ball. Every time they miss, the other team has a 5-4. On the last shot last night White takes a stab at the ball and missed. That little bit of space was the difference between a decent look and a bad look. Quit taking so many chances and stay between your man and the basket!

We need better lateral quickness. We regularly get beat of the dribble, which commences the clown-show that is our help defense and rotations. Maybe we would be better at rotating if we were constantly scrambling every defensive possession.

Playing White at the 3 is a big culprit for this. And Marble, for all his talents, is not a superior athlete, and can be beaten off the dribble if he is tired or not focused.
