This defense was exposed today by this Purdue offense in many ways. QB David Blough hurt us with his arm and feet. WR’s took advantage of the mismatches it presented. Jeff Brohm did another brilliant job against a Ferentz led team.
DB’s Julius Brents and Riley Moss are nowhere ready for B1G competition as evidenced against Purdue.
My question is our back 7 has been exposed numerous times in games and where is all this depth.
I’m thinking that we’ve either missed on some recruiting cycles or the players we got aren’t B1G material.
I’d like to know where the following players are in regards to playing meaningful snaps on defense:
DB Josh Turner
DB Trey Creamer-Suspended?
DB Matt Hankins-Injured & Suspended?
DB D.J. Johnson
DB Dallas Craddieth
DB Kaevon Merriweather
DB Terry Roberts
LB Barrington Wade
LB Kristian Welch
LB Amani Jones
