Dear Students

Agree with you 100% Kelley. It isn't just the students though. The entire crowd needs to bring it. Which means those big donors with seats up front need to get off their rumps and lose their damn voices. It's getting super annoying watching those front 5-10 rows sitting during big moments.

What a better venue than CHA....Bring it all game long.....get on the ref's, get on Izzo..........

Yes. THis. Refs can get intimidated in hostile environments. Also, I want to see Izzo get T'd up (finally) for blowing up.

I could not agree more. But I think the students can set the tone for the game.

I second every post so far. I want a crowd like the one against Mich Fab five 1st home game after we lost Chris Street. The crowd so pumped in the second half when the cheerleaders would come out at time outs the crowd would sit down and rest because they stood and yelled every min of the game. Coolest game Ive ever been at. Thay just wouldnt let the Hawks lose. GO HAWKS

One would think you would be too busy actually watching the big moments to notice this. :p

Good point :)

I know you are just joking, but honestly it was mainly the Minnesota game when I noticed it (before Iowa broke it wide open). I've watched thousands of basketball games on TV. I can tell when a crowd is really bringing it. During some huge moments early on in that game it didn't sound like the place was very loud so I would take a look at the crowd.... and whaddya know the front several rows are just chillin. The Hawks have worked their ***** off to get to where they are at. I strongly believe they deserve a crowd that will fight for them the same way, and if I were able to make it to the games I would be losing my voice at every one. So when I see people not even trying it really irks me.

I agree. Although I am pretty certain they will be the same as they have been for the last 10 years, someone needs to light fires under those front seats. It's really too bad to see those spots given to people who droop and golf clap.

Plus they are the first ones to leave at the final TV timeout. I remember going to a senior day and they started filing out with Iowa up by 8, I was ticked, I was sitting near some Illini fans and they were amazed those "fans" left.

I second the seconded.

As much as I want the fan to bring it tonight. I'd much rather see a Hawkeye team put together a beat down that gets the crowd rolling and absolutely rocks CHA. I feel its just as important for the team to get the crowd amped up then it is for the crowd to show up revved up and ready to go. I think tonight will be the perfect combination of both.

It'd be nice if the Hawks can go Lob City and throw a few to White and Gabe in the first half. Those really get the crowd jacked. With the possibility of Iowa moving into the 2 spot in the B1G I expect the crowd to be loud tonight.

Lob city or not, I'll be more than happy to simply hear from Mr. White in the first half. He needs to play a full game rather than turning it on late, or simply not turning it on.

Well I'll be in row 38 tonight, but I promise you if I were in the first 10 rows I would be off my duff. I hope that helps everyone just knowing that :D But, on the bright side at least I have quick access to the Ice Cream line up top.

I hate that every time I get up the first thing I do is look behind me and kinda half *** crouch cause of course no one else is standing. Ain't happening tonight. Screw you guys, I'm standing up
