Do tell, because from my standpoint, I, as well as most Husker fans really never thought of Iowa. I used to kind of pull for them, until Iowa fans, for no reason, started acting like spanked children.
And that's fine, but from an outsider's point of view, you do seem to spend quite a bit of time talking about the Huskers.
I don't remember pointing any fun a Iowa for the loss to the Guffers, as a matter of fact, I posted a thread here that stated that your season was not over, and lookie here. You have your destiny in your own hands.
Nobody was talking about you personally, but I have seen plenty of comments below articles from places like Yahoo and Bleacherreport and they haven’t been kind. They kind of view all of this rivalry talk as a joke. Of course, Husker fans never thought of Iowa, because we were in different conferences and never played each other. One would think that it would have been a natural rivalry like Pitt vs West Virginia. If any fans acted like spanked children, it’s most likely because they, along with the rest of us, have been hearing non-stop from media outlets, magazines and newspapers about how NU was going to come in and win the Big 10 hands down. You seem like a decent sort of guy, but not every fan is like you.
I am an Nebraska fan and people on here are Hawkeye fans. We are rivals but we are all midwesterns. I hold people in the midwest to a higher standard then others because of the generosity and kindness we show to one another. I just didnt want to think of the state I live in to go down that road.
You’re not alone, there are a lot of good fans on both sides. It’s just that the D-bags are usually the loudest, so they seem bigger than they are.
