First off, HELL OF AN EFFORT by our Hawks today. I thought this game was done at half but they proved me wrong and rightfully so. Very happy they went down fighting. Cook played very well I thought in the second half. Moss hit clutch shots. Loved the fact they didn’t fold. Had they played half as good as they did in the first half we are talking about this team going to the sweet 16.....
....With that said, Iowa was 1-9 in second round games in the last 30 years coming into this game. Now they are 1-10. (Per Mark Emmert)
What will it take for this program to take that leap and finally get to the sweet 16?
New, FAST, point guard....at least a fast guard who can handle the ball?
Athletic big guys who play defense and offense is a bonus. Athletic big guys that don’t bring the ball up as if they are a point guard and expose how bad they are dribbling.

Whatever Iowa has been missing needs to be found whether that’s with Fran or a new coach(yes I know we won’t have a new coach) otherwise is it fair to say Iowa has been average at BEST the last 30 years?
