In 2009 mike gesell high jumped 6'2. So basically the kid high jumped over himself. I am going to stick with the fact he has hops.

Cool, he still struggles finishing in traffic and it's odd that someone who can jump out of the gym has never dunked in a game.

If we can get JO 10 3 pt. shots per game and he makes an average of 3.5-4.0, which would add 10 1/2 to 12 points per game, that would be huge. Can we get him 10 three point tries??

I am not saying mike is as good as Nate Robinson (the nba dunk champion), but I don't know anyone that would say Nate can't jump. Yet Nate dunks very little during games. Nate is an exceptional athlete. Part of his ability to dunk during games isn't athleticism it is height. Remember that gesell is only 6 ft. Meaning finishing a dunk over some one in traffic is harder than for mike than it is for marble considering devyn is 6'6 and obviously has a better wingspan. The height factor plays into things.

i know this is a dunk contest and I know he misses most of the dunks but look at the athleticism he has and the hops. If you watch he misses most of the dunks from my view because he doesn't have huge hands and looses his grip or can't get a good grip. This could also be a reason he doesn't dunk in games.

I'm 6'2" and white. My best dunk was the one hand vanilla dunk that almost every kid could do.

If you think athleticism is determined by a video and a invite you are wrong. Gesell is a better athlete whether or not. He is 6 ft and can get off the floor higher than marble he is quicker with the ball in his hands. 6'6 has something to do with marble getting the looks he does. By your system Kyle korver is a better athlete than Eric May and mike gesell. Look for videos of Gesell dunking and remember he is half a foot shorter than marble. Marble is probably a better basketball player. But that doesn't mean better athlete.

No those aren't the only things I'm determining it by at all. But they are factors. How many times has MG created his own shot and got a good look? He can't shake D1 pgs off the dribble without a screen it seems like. Marble created for himself a ton. When Marble drives and is inside he's going against guys bigger then him all the time and he's able to jump over guys and sometimes contort his body at tough angles and is able to finish tough shots around the basket. MG has a tough time getting open without screens and had a really tough time finishing period it seemed like. I know it's not easy for a 6 footer to dunk in games that goes without saying.
