David Kenny Decommits?

I hope Iowa offers the Skibinski kid from SC Heelan now. Hed run circles around Kenney anyway. If Kenney is that ignorant because his dad is there thats his own problem His dad wont be there in 2 yrs when Coach Williams is fired anyway. Then hell be on 1-11 team with out daddy and not getting drafted of course we all now Indianas track record of being a NFL draft pick factory.

Those are Jr and SO highlights. I just hope Iowa gets him Because itd be a shame if Arkansas Mizzou or ISU come with offers. He had a visit with Ark ISU and Northern Ill already.

Nothing ignorant about it. He wants to play where his dad coaches. Personally, I think that's a pretty cool thing and an opportunity that very, very few kids will ever have.

And coach Wilson is going to be around at Indiana for a while. He's got the Hoosiers going in the right direction. They're lacking on defense right now, so a kid like Kenney is probably looking at early playing time.

I agree. People need to realize that it's not just the person they are tweeting that sees the tweet, and it gets exasperated further by the fact that Kenney was retweeting all the dumb ones. Other recruits see that too. Both John Kenny and Malik Rucker made comments on the backlash David was getting. It's one thing to be a passionate fanbase, it's another to be a d-bag.

Exactly. And besides, what's the point? Like he's going to read a tweet from someone calling him a tool and in a moment of deep self-reflection realize that he's made a horrible mistake and should go play for the team these great fans cheer for??

Morons.

First of all his dad is not a coach hes like the head of football opearations. So hes not playing for his dad. I have never tweeted or commented to him I commented on this website. If anybody is gonna sit there and say he didnt make a dumb choice is an idiot. Coach Williams will be gone in 5 yrs you can bank on that and we all know the long standing tradition of NFL draft picks especially d-line that come out of Indiana. 90% of those kids would leave Indiana to come to Iowa in a heartbeat if they had a chance. I myself am glad he decommitted now and not in January.

If Coach "williams" (btw it's Wilson) does get fired in 5 years then Kenney will have had a productive career under one head coach and be done. Oh well. You need to get over it and realize that Iowa will move on without this kid just as it has with other recruits that have decommitted over the years. People that are bashing him are dumb. I'm sure nobody has ever changed their mind for a decision that will play a crucial point in their rest of their lives and to pick family is a great thing.

Also, he could still come to Iowa, I highly highly doubt it, but he is coming to Iowa next weekend with his friend John Kenny who is committed to Iowa. So bashing the kid definitely doesn't help.

Derppppp. Calm down and step away from the keyboard.

Exactly. Even if his dad wasn't there, the kid has to go where it feels right for him. We all know of Iowa players saying they committed here "because it just felt right" or "it felt like home." He's going to spend the next four years there getting an education too, so a little bit of indecision is normal for kids whether they play sports or not. He has to do what he feels is best, so I wish him well.

Im not bashin the kid I do not tweet I simply gave my opinion that I think its a bad idea. But its not my choice I understand that I do not doubt Iowa will move and be fine. How picking is family great vs maybe being ale to take care of his family and losing million is one thing. You never know what can happen but I think were all in agreement the NFL is a real possibiltyfor this kid. Im not going to sit here argue with you" gosh we can never win the big one fans" or the "ddeerrp step away from the keyboard people" you guys are the fans the get laughed at down her in where I live in SEC country and the sad thing I used sit here and defend people like you guys. Anyway like I said I could care less I made one comment about what the obvious better choice and I get jumped on like this. If your such a big Kevin Wilson fan go buy A hoosier hat.
'

I think the NFL argument is outblown. If the kid is good enough he will get to the NFL from Indiana. Also Iowas hasn't sent a DL to the NFL under the Reese Morgan Regime yet so who knows. It's not like he is throwing away his future for certain because he goes to Indiana. I'm sure people thought that kids were throwing away futures when they committed to KF in 1999 and 2000. So I think the argument is dumb.

You may frown upon us realists and since you are down in SEC country you have obviously obtained the "we are better than everyone else" gene, so good for you, why don't you buy an Alabama hat and drop the internet tough guy routine.

Im not trying to be an internet tough guy. I know who I am an where I come from and where Ive been in my life to know Im fine. I am an Iowa fan an trust me I put up with plenty of garbage talk living down here cant help it Ive been stationed down here for a long time. Now your a realist be real then and realize none of those players coming to KF in 99 and 00 were 4*or probally even 3* the fact is facts dont lie look at the draft numbers of players not drafted or on rosters thats not stupid or over blown. As far as buying an Alabama hat I probaly should they dont get attacked or bashed by one another for just stating opinions. Your riight we are just poor or Iowa. You guys are right Mr. Kenney does have the right to go where he wants I am not disputing that I just thought in the end it wouldnt be as good of a choice later when he looks back at it. But is life. We all regret something like commenting on damn fan forum to a bunch of guys way smarter then me.

You have absolutely no way of proving that.

also, the 2000 class: (Iowa wasn't there only offer)
2000 Class: Jonathon Babineaux, Warren Holloway, Tony Jackson, Nate Kaeding, George Lewis, Aaron Mickens, Derrick Pickens, Derreck Robinson, Fred Russell, Demond Sanders (yes, that is how it was listed), Benny Sapp (who would be suspended from school at the start of the 2002 season), Jermelle Lewis and Kevin Worthy. Notable attrition: Michael Allen, Kelvin Bell, Charlie Bodiford and Jhante Jones.
