David DiLeo

I see that David DiLeo won the State tennis championships, along with his
Iowa City West teammate.

Clearly, Fran should get bizzy and grab this kid, before he
gets committed somewhere else. He would certainly be an Asset for the
Iowa Hawkeye hoops program. A first class kid and he**uva 3 pt shooter.

Windsor is SPOT on...............Ryan Bowen, a Hawkeye Grrrrrrrreat and NBA player.

Some of these younger posters apparently haven't learned history.

GO HAWKS

What the flock does winning a tennis tournament have to do with basketball?

Was thinking the same thing. I watched a couple West games. He's an alright player, but the player that intrigued me was the other very active forward. Kind of an odd name but he was really active & always seemed to be around the ball. I believe he may be going to a mid major, though.

I'm not interested in DiLeo either. I was simply giving an example of a good tennis player being a good basketball player.

Wali Parks. That's the player I was thinking of. Very active. he's around 6'4" so would probably have to develop a consistent outside shot because would probably play guard at the D1 level.

If he played tennis and basketball he probably would be a deadly outside shooter. Tennis develops your hand eye coordination.

Regarding Wali Parks............better 'athlete' certainly DOES NOT equate to
Better hoops player. There's a zillion mistakes like that.

I said he intrigued me, not that he was going to be a top notch Div I player. He just caught my eye on the court with his play and how active he was.
