Darius Smith - Guard -Uconn Transfer

Darius Smith who was a highly recruited guard from Chicago that committed to Uconn is transferring. Early word seems to be he has interest in Chicago St. A four star recruit, he was ranked 71st nationally and the 12 best PG coming out of hs. It appears that Lickliter offered, but my first thought was, would Fran have any interest here? I know he would have to sit out a year, but it may be worth the wait. Anyway, does anyone think Fran will take a look? This information is from ESPN.

I'm sure Fran has his eyes open to all transfers. A PG that would have to sit a year might not be on the top of the list with Cartwright laying well and Cully having to redshirt. Cully if healthy and ready to go in 2011-2012 will have 3 years left.

Payne is not a "take you to the next level " PG, sounds like this guy is. Take a look.

It looks like Smith has already transferred, College of Southern Idaho. I'm guessing he could transfer in and play right away next year.
