Dallas Clark?

Anyone hear anything about him? I'm starting to think his playing days are done.

I tend to think he's done.

There's no one in the league that would know him better than Peyton Manning. And if Manning, after signing with the Broncos, told Elway that he wanted Clark in Denver ASAP, then it would have happened.

The fact that Denver went after the other Indy TE tells me that Peyton knows that Clark is not healthy enough to be a productive receiver and advised Denver to pick up the other one instead (his name is escaping me).

If he is done, it was a helluva run and he's accomplished more than 95% of NFL players will ever accomplish in their careers.

Ive been saying done for some time. NFL players don't come back in their mid thirties after missing the better part of two straight seasons with injury.

I agree with this, they just signed Stokley, so something must be up with Dallas? The guy you are thinking of is Tamme.

I was starting to wonder why he hadn't latched on someplace. If that Boss guy hadn't gone to KC it woulda been cool to have Moeaki and him in 2 te sets. MN and Chicago don't seem like good fits either as far as local teams go. If he does retire he had a heck of a career he had a big part to do with the modern day TE.

Would be a sad day if DC had to retire. Its a shame two of the greatest Hawkeyes of all time going out due to injuries. I'm referring to Dallas and Bob.

Would have been a little cool. Fortunately, Stanzi wouldn't have been throwing to them.

No kidding they'd have to have the same luck with their qbs that we have with rbs for that to happen. We'll know where Stanzi stands with them if they draft a qb at all in this draft after having signed the pretty boy from Notre damn

It's a shame if true because he is a pretty charitable guy with his time and money. no NFL paycheck means less of the aforementioned $$

I hope the Rams sign him. Heaven knows they need about everything. He's probably still got something left in the tank.

So close to 500, 5000, and 50? Dude should try to hang on just to meet those milestones. ;) Bummer to realize that none of the great group of Hawks from the 2000s will make the HOF. Still they have a lot of hardware, some great memories, and if they were wise, some good bank.

clark had a great career and i would love to see him still playing but i dont think anyone will sign him. he is still a match up problem but his blocking has really gone downhill as he has gotten older and teams want the combo he created that can split out and be a lineman. he is only a slot guy anymore and that makes him less desireable.

maybe he can come in and get some job with iowa and work up to being the oc someday...might as well start the clamoring for that.

I spoke to him around 3 weeks ago, but figured he wouldn't reveal anything so I did not ask what his plans were.

I've never spoken to DuffMan, so I can't reveal what Dallas Clark's future plans are.
