Dale Jones Doesn’t Dwell on Bad Luck, Instead Enjoys Journey

This is encouraging. I think Dale will be incredibly valuable to this team next season. He'll bring that experience, and it sounds like some leadership, to an inexperienced Hawkeye team.

Looking forward to seeing Jones back out in the floor again in the Black & Gold. He plays aggressive, has a great shot, rebounds well, and has the length & athletic ability to develop into a decent defender. Count me in on the Dale Jones fan club!

DJ had a quariceps tendon tear (above the kneecap), not an ACL tear. These are very different injuries. Peter Jok had a similar injury to the patellar tendon (below the kneecap).

A story like this really makes you root for a kid like Dale. What a good demeanor given all he's gone through. I would not be surprised to see him starting before the season is up.

The quadriceps tendon repeat tear was partial. Not as serious as ACL. Good chance for full recovery. Could play a big role next year.

If he stays healthy, I imagine he's gonna do a nice job replacing Woody's rebounding & Utah's 3pt scoring. If he gets his extra year granted, look for Connor to walk on...

Its easy to imagine that he thought about how he could of helped the team the last part of the conference season. Hoperfully, it will give hime incentive to work hard at coming back strong from his injury. I think Iowa will have a pretty good team next year. I don't know if Connor would walk on or not. It might be important to him that he got a college scholarship from the University.
