Cyrus out/Cooper still in play--per tweet

I think Newberg is trying to stir up the pot. I have no inside sources, but reading a lot of the articles of interviews with him make believe that he has not eliminated anybody and Iowa is still in the mix. I would however believe that Cooper is torn apart from Iowa and MSU. Tough choice for both.

Newburg is usually o'fer in most of his predictions. He talks out of his a$$ most of the time and does poor research.

ESPNU -

Cyrus puts on Auburn hat....then takes it off
Puts on Alabama hat....then takes it off

Puts on Iowa hat and stands up!

I can dream....

no worries guys.... this tweet is about Kouandijo.... not Kouandjio. thank god because i cant even find anything on Kouandijo.

Myself I could care a less if we ever get these HIGH profile high school Kids.... Come into the program expecting things and have attitude. Every year some of us get all excited about these recruits and then they end up leaving because they dont think there is any playing time given to them or they get lonely for closer to home fields.... Bring me the gems who work their butt off and demand nothing!

So if Cyrus K goes to either of those schools over Iowa, some other player's going to be told "sorry we don't have any scholarships left, good luck out there, son." That stinks. The reality of oversigning. Awful and quite spineless practice in my mind.

Of the two, I hope he goes to Alabama. I want to know how much Auburn is offering him. Come in this late and make his final two?

So the fact that Alabama offered him cash earlier in the process sits better with you?

I don't want to be one of those, everybody cheats but Iowa guys, but at this point it's kind of like steroids in my mind. You almost have to convince me that you're not guilty before I'll believe it.

Cooper is asking for help on twitter to choose. Not sure if he's telling the truth or just seeing what kind of shitstorm he can create by doing so.

Dumb. Dumb. I like our diamonds in the rough as much as the next guy, but I would never pass up a 5 star if he wanted to come to Iowa. Hard work beats talent when it works harder, but when talent works just as hard you win championships. Just ask Alabama, Texas, OU etc.

I'm sure winning a NC doesn't hurt recruiting.

And the player who transformed them from a 7-win team into that champion is gone. You usually don't see something like this happen unless the late school was the offer the player was waiting for. Obviously I don't know, but I'd find it hard to believe that Auburn was the offer CK was waiting for.
