Per Rob Howe's Twitter, Cyrus narrows list to (in no particular order) Iowa, Miami, Alabama, USC, and, of course, New Mexico.

He hasn't said publicly which school he cut, has he? New Mexico would be the logical choice, particularly after that beating they took from TCU.

Another thought I had is that Miami also fired their coach this weekend. Not sure if that would disqualify them, but it was a shake-up to one of his final 5.

He attends the same High School Coker did last year, hopefully their friendship plays a roll in his decision

People have wondered all along why he is so high on New Mexico. I couldn't figure it out for the longest time, but it finally hit me yesterday. Mike Locksley, New Mexico's coach, grew up in inner-city DC and recruited the DC area extremely well for Maryland and Illinois (where he got Arrellious Benn out of DC as the nation's top WR). Locksley still has great connections in the area and I'm sure he is tight with the DeMatha folks. Maybe New Mexico is out of it now, but why they were in it originally finally makes a little sense now.
