Cyclown AD Thrown Out of son's B-Ball game

Sounds like it was one of your loser fans who kicked him out for no reason lol

@martytirrell: IHSAA to reprimand official who tossed ISU AD Jamie Pollard #cycleONEnation

Yeah, after looking into it, it's kind of embarrassing for the Iowa fan base knowing that we have fans out there that would resort to something this low. The ref was clearly looking for attention and trying to hurt Iowa State.

I think it's starting to get kind of obvious that Iowa State is catching up athletically and it's starting to upset some Hawkeye fans.

I think it's freaking hilarious if it was in fact an Iowa fan out to embarrass Clown U. If I ever meet up with that guy I'll buy him a beer. Or ten.

Oh, I think it's funny, but the dude should never be allowed to ref again if he shows that much bias. Maybe we could get him to ref some of our games. We could sure use him

Pollard should be invisible at a high school bball game.

Maybe pullhard's nose was blocking the light and making it impossible for the ref to see the plays.

Where does it say he was an Iowa fan? He's probably a Tulsa fan, and just wanted to rub it in.

And why does Marty think it's a cycle nation?

Maybe he was overzealous for singling out JP but hate to say it, but a man such as JP should know better.

Parents have this issue with acting like adults at their own child's events, if JP can act like that, then others will continue to do it. Lead by example, if you don't then you are just another sheep.

Absolutely he should have, even moreso for being a high profile figure. But oh well, cant fix it now. Learn and move on.

Agreed, JP I am sure learned his lesson. Fans on the other hand, I am sure this won't go away like you and I think it should.

Watching that video, I would say the Iowa State students who were interviewed "get it" better than Pollard does.

And how does Marty the Mouth know the official is going to be reprimanded? Those things usually take time, with a full review and hearing. If Marty's just spouting crap, he should STFU.

Rick Wulkow, executive director at the Iowa High School Athletic Association said Pollard called him on Wednesday morning about the comment he made to the official.

"Jamie was in the role of a parent supporting the Gilbert team," Wulkow said in an email to the Register. "Jamie has handled this situation as expected, in a very professional matter. He has dealt with the situation appropriately as far as the IHSAA is concerned."

Oh, really, Mr. Wulkow? How did he handle it in a "very professional manner"? How has he dealt with it "appropriately"? Has he apologized to the official? Has he apologized to the schools involved? Has he signed up for anger management classes? Has he agreed to not attend his son's games the rest of the season? Just how has he dealt with it, Mr. Wulkow?

Pollard should have sat in the stands, cheered for his son and his son's team, groaned when they didn't play well, but just kept quiet regarding the officiating. Not one word. Athletic Directors are expected to hold themselves to a higher level when it comes to many matters, including sports and any sporting event they attend. They are not just "fans."

If anything, Pollard should get a letter of reprimand from the board in control of ISU athletics.

Wulkow's response smacks of protecting a golfing buddy or something.
