My point had nothing to do with Wisky and Penn State. Cyclone17 used those two to discredit the Big 10 and tout his mighty Little 12. During the season the Big 10 clearly demonstrated from top to bottom to be a more complete conference. Of course, Cyclone17 and the other bashers found excuses like Wisky and Penn State not playing anyone, etc. as their argument. Just wondering what the argument is now? The bowl season is now proving what the regular season demonstrated.
My contention was that OSU, Iowa, Wisconsin and Penn State would all have been Big 12 North champs. No question about it.
The Big 12 is clearly a one team league. Had Oklahoma been healthy, that would have changed things a little. If Nebraska was as good all year as they were in the bowl it could have changed things - even though the Arizona win is proving not to be quite as impressive as Big 12 and Husker faithful think.
If Oklahoma State falls to Ole Miss today the Big 12 is looking at comparisons to the Big East and ACC as legitimate conversations. Right now the SEC and Big 10 are clearly top dogs, and for the first time in a long time the Big 10 and SEC are not so far apart.
