Cy Ko - Auburn

I think our chances just got much better.....westerman the #2 OT just switched from Texas to Auburn.......I think Iowa's got a good chance!!!!! especially if he is signing soon

How does that help us?

I would say that the likelihood of landing the #2 and #1 overall OT in the nation in the same year would be slim to none. Because I would freak out if we get him, i place the percentages of landing him at 60% Bama - 35% Iowa - 5% the field. The reason for those percentages is for the advantages both bring you. Both are pro-style offenses. Both have NFL experienced coaches. Both can get you drafted and millions of dollars after 3 years of tutelage. We should send KF a copy of "Boiler Room" to get him pumped up to close him on Iowa this weekend.

Has anyone else thought about this angle: Coming out of the SAT/ACT testing pretty much ANYTHING looks fun or like a good idea.

I'm calling it - Cooper commits & CK gives us a soft verbal come monday morning.

Auburn isn't and has never been a factor, they came in too late to the process. Alabama is the team Iowa is competing with, the other teams are just fluff.

exactly, This kid committing to AU has no bearing whatsoever on CyKo.

You're gullible. If he had inside knowledge he would've posted that BEFORE Auburn's O-line additions. Now he's just stating what is obvious. Next he'll post we have a great shot at Cooper and you'll lap up his jism as if it's unique knowledge

Imagine if we would have taken care of business and lucked out in playing BAMA in a Bowl, it may have put us over the edge in his recruitment.

I posted in a different thread a week ago Auburn wasn't a factor. I can dig it up if you like. Your man crush on me is making me blush....

I've also consistently posted that Cyko is headed to Bama. Not sure why this guy thinks I'm getting my opinion from you.

No worse than 90% of your posts on this message board, hypocrite! People who spend their lives obsessed with the comings & goings of 17 & 18 year old boys shouldn't talk sh$t to anyone!

I saw CK at the Sheraton this morning and asked him how his visit went and he said, "some good, some bad."

He is NOT coming here.

your criteria would apply to everyone that follows recruiting or covers it, lol.....Just another mouth breather to add to the list....

My impression is that CyKo said that he'd give visits due to pressure from parents and/or his high school coach. After his "SAT excuse" didn't work as a means of getting out of the visit ... he found himself still "stuck" going on a visit. Again ... that is my impression.

I like Iowa's chances of landing Cooper. However, even then, I do not expect an "on the spot" commitment.

As for Cyrus, the only thing that I anticipate could sway him is Iowa's record of placing LTs in the first round.

Anyhow, I see Cyrus as a 'Bama lock unless qualifying issues crop up.

But dude, Auburn just landed the #2 Tackle so that makes our chances better right? <<sarcasm>>
