Crowds gotta bring it

Saw Pops, but that's the only one on the list. The games just keep getting longer and longer and longer. Guys taking 30 seconds to get back in the batter's box after a pitch, slow pitchers. . .

I and my wife and kids were in Wrigley around 1996 to see Maddux and the braves play the cubbies. Maddox threw a 3 hitter, 78 pitch complete game and the Cub pitcher, I cant remember his name who is from Iowa, was also a very fast pitching worker, and the game lasted about 1:50. score was about 2-0 braves, fast moving and fun.

Saw Aaron and Cepeda with other great atlanta players in '69 or 70 at the Wrig play a doubleheader against some of the great cubs. Super day of baseball as Aaron hit two bombs in one game.

Baby Bull Cepeda was an awesome ballplayer.

I have never been to a Iowa gm. My girlfriend is getting me tickets for next yr I can't wait to see what it is like in Kinnick stadium. GO HAWKS!

Have not been to kinnick this year but in all fairness I have been watching on Tv and when they pan the crowds Ohio state Penn state have been packed. Places like msu wiscy kittenville Purdue ii have all had a lot of empty seats. Don't think it's just an IOWA thing. Hope it turns around Saturday. If we march down the field and score early I think that would help a lot.

I'm a student and I'll be there, front row like I am every home game. But I hate to break it to you guys, apathy about football is at an all time high among students. The out of state kids frankly dont care anymore about a mediocre Iowa team. The in state ones are in a bit of a rut. Students are selling their tickets they've already bought, undercutting any effort by the U to sell more student tickets. Just my .02 from a students perspective on campus.

Also the student section will be dead any game this year after half time, as many students leave then regardless of score. I of course, stay and cheer on the ******* hawks

Sad state of affairs...but I'm sure they all have their facebook pages up to date. Good for them. Someone needs to yank on their ball to get them to finally drop.
