Have to say, the fans were loud and really helped this team. The first half was tough to watch, but everyone got right behind these guys as they came out of the half. Really glad to see the crowd getting into it again. It's been a long time since I have gotten a raspy voice from a basketball game!

I listened to the game on the radio and that was exciting enough, but I can imagine it was a great atmosphere when we made that big run to start the 2nd half. It's also nice to see attendance building from where it was 4-5 years ago.

I was in attendance. The crowd was not licklighter-esque but not as good as it should be considering we have a basketball coach who is really working his behind off to put out the best possible product and this is a fun team to watch. The other issue is there were maybe 100 students there due to break. He might be the best coach we have outside of Brands but does enjoy the support yet compared to the 4 million dollar man producing 4 wins.

I can say the crowd that was there was really, really good and was pumped/loud as soon the team started making a run at the beginning of the second half.

The freshman are good and I love what Woodbury is bringing to this team in terms of Moxy. He has a real attitude that he's here to help this program move forward and is not going to take anything from anyone else. Very impressive young player as is Gesell. Clemmons is pretty good also.

If Marble comes back next year, we could be as stacked as we have been in a long, long time as we will add Utoff, Jok and Meyer to a deep bench already. It's hard to get all of the guys playing time this year.

i like Dolph, but he's not a good play by play guy. Regularly doesn't update score and time. Not a lot of info, but a lot of "brought to you by Kruger seeds/Monsanto/Case IH/etc.."

There were 11,853 people there. So there were over 1,000 more people than at the Howard game.

Yes the crowd was great. I was disappointed more students were not there though. You'd think with the football team debacle that is the Iowa Hawks, more students would be hungry for a more up tempo team.

However, it was great to see the crowd stay with team as the 2nd half started. McCabe's hustle was big early in the 2nd half and Woodbury showed a lot of emotion as well. Oglesby finally hit some 3's which he needed badly.

Although Gesell had an off night shooting, he only had 1 turnover and that was against full court pressure almost the entire game.

Believe the students are on break all week

That would explain it. I thought someone said they were not, but I was thinking they had to be gone.

One thing is clear. The basketball program is so much more fun to watch then football it is almost sad. It's not the wins and losses, but the style and passion levels from each program.

Overall, I liked his call of the game. A few times he got behind in the game action - he'd just announce there was another score without any set up, but Dolph does that, too. Good energy in his voice, and he seemed to work well with Hansen.

I thought he was much better than Gary, I just never really took a liking to Dolph. Without Eddie and Bobby, I couldn't stand to listen to games on the radio.
