Crowd Friday?

Will be sell out. All black and gold. Carver will rock... Send Freddie back to Ames with his tail between his legs.

I've heard from some fans that have tickets that their seats are at the very top, very last row. So that's a good sign.

Hope so or that would be embarrassing. Forty empty rows in front of you. "Hey dude what happened? Couldn't get enough for the food stamps you pawned off?" "Yah, I sold them to some ISU grads." :)

Ya but that doesn't mean too much. The sides have been filling up pretty good all season. It's behind the baskets that have been bad. Still, I expect it to be close to a sell out for this one. I just hope it's loud. Last night was pathetic. About the loudest it got was when the cheerleaders were throwing t-shirts into the crowd. And that's not an exaggeration.

Consider the opponent from last night and the fact that after about the first 10 minutes the game was never in doubt.

Perhaps. I've never bought into the opinion that a less quality opponent justifies less enthusiasm from the crowd. I went to a game in Bloomington once when IU was playing some mickey mouse team and the place was still jacked. But that might just be because of the passion that state has for basketball. I seriously am not trying to complain though cause I was a season ticket holder during the Lick years. Even at our worst now, we're still miles ahead of where we were.

So because Iowa fans are not as fervent as Indiana fans, there's reason to doubt what the crowd will be like on Friday?

This should be a competitive game against an in-state rival. I wouldn't be worried about what the crowd will bring.

Have you noticed how much older the crowd has gotten? In the 80s CHA rocked and it was a intimidating place to play for the opponents. Now I can't go to a game without someone telling me to sit down.
