I loved the fact that he is willing to go deep. We rarely did that under Greg Davis. We weren't regularly successful with it today but Stanley will improve. But at least defenses will have to respect the fact that an Iowa team isn't afraid to throw it down the field.

He just needs to clean up the wtf moments when calling running plays. Go with what works, instead running up the gut 3 times in a row with the box stacked or running to the short side of the field on 3rd & 10 with a stacked box.

In the third quarter, he had two series where it just looked like he pulled each play out of a hat. Then he started every drive after that with a pass play followed by a delayed handoff up the middle.

So far so good. You could make the case the offense is ahead of the defense right now which is unusual early in the season, especially with an inexperienced QB. Stanley is playing great and BF and KOK both deserve some credit for that.

Loved it. Bf used matchups more thab any oc since snyder....mlb on wadley. TE s in safeties. There were a ton of points left on the feild as well ...not just in overthrows either.....so many one more blocks or if the back were a little more patient plays. Love seeing butler and wadley in together. How many people caughts balls today even fb flat throws. Teams now have to defend the entire feild against the hawks!....Finally no more excuses about execution just gameplan and work ti your strengths unlike under GD who quite honestly seemed tired and bored.

On a sidenote, what is Brian going to do with Butler? Can he catch a pass? He surely isn't fast enough. Is he sledgehammer enough to be another L.-Daniels-like running back?

Actually on 3rd and 18 they didn't get 20. He ran for 3 yards. When you visited the petting Zoo Friday did an Ass kick you in the head? Cuz one just did now!
