Couple quick points

1. Remember when you look at the final score and the sweaty final moments that we gave up a very uncharacteristic play against Hyde who has been fine for the most part this year. That is a teachable moment. Also remember that lame duck that Forcier threw up their could have just as easily been intercepted - his receiver being able to come back and get that was nothing more than dumb luck.

2. I think DickRod is done. I don't think that offense is going to work in a defense first league like the Big 10. Sure it can work against N'Western or Indiana, or even the Purdues of the world. But it isn't going to work against the premier teams who have defenses that are talented and fast enough to keep someone like Robinson in check like Iowa did today. I do think they go bowling this year, but I think he still gets canned at 7-5 with a 2-5 end of the year and a 3-5 finish in the Big 10.

Why do we want Rich Rod canned? They might actully find someone to turn the program around. Remember John Copper at Ohio St. Then they found Tressel.

It was an odd hire in the first place. Not as odd as Indiana hiring Kelvin Sampson but pretty darn odd just the same.

I wonder if RichRod will consider a quarterback rotation. Forcier is twice the passer Robinson is, and it would be really tough for teams to prepare for both (I think that was made pretty clear today).

Of course, then everyone would have to admit that maybe Denard Robinson isn't reinventing the game of football. I won't hold my breath.

You think wrong. How do you figure the offense isn't going to work? How many yards today? I would say they gained more than enough against the best defense in the land to say that the offense does work. Of course they didn't put up the points but don't give me the offense doesn't work after they just hung 522 yards on one of the best defenses in the nation with two sophomore QBs. He isn't going anywhere this year, don't hold your breath.

No he won't. No, he isn't, but yes it would. The problem is there isn't a healthy premier RB on that roster right now. Shaw and Toussaint are the guys that could do it but neither are healthy. Without Denard, the running game would be nonexistent and tate would throw 4 picks a game. Tate is very good, but what makes him that good is the fact he doesn't think he just throws it around. Thats fine until he tries to do too much like he did on the first pick.

I don't think RR is going anywhere. As mentioned, their offense is a force reckoned with and it will win them some games this year. When (and I think it is when, not if) they get a HALF WAY decent defense, they can challenge for the B10 title again. They are really hamstrung with that defense.

Michigan should win the next three against PSU, Illinois, and Purdue, getting them to 8 wins. That will be enough to keep DickRod for another season.

I definitely agree with the fact that they are a defense away from being something special. However, I also believe that when our entire gameplan comming in was to focus on containing DR we really weren't prepared for Tate. Once DR was knocked out of the game the offense changed, which led IMO to our defensive struggles later in the game. I also feel though that when we had such a big lead, we began to play more conservative than normal on defense and basically I think we were just trying to keep them in front of us and let the clock work against them.

Here's another point: A Rob is damn good and damn near indispensable.

Couldn't agree more. I made the comment that he looked warn out against PSU and I didn't know how the wear and tear of the season would affect him, however today I definitely think I was wrong and glad I was. He was definitely a beast today.

1. That offense is scary good and next year, who knows if we can outscore them or contain them sense we lose a potential 7 players on D and 5 players on O.

2. Dick Rod is not only bad for Michigan, but also for the big ten.

3. If they do fire him and have to get another coach, they will need to implement a whole new system again.
