Could Gameday make a trip to IC for the Iowa Michigan St Game

I know we shouldn't look to far a head, but say Iowa handles Michigan and Wisconsin, and Michigan State stays undefeated could gameday be in IC for that game.

The other games we would have to contend with are:

21 Missouri @ 5 Nebraska
2 Oregon @ USC
11 Utah @ 23 Air Force.

Looks pretty promising if we can take care of business. Missouri will probably lose to Oklahoma and will drop out of the rankings, USC probably won't be rated by then and Air Force could get beat by TCU but Utah will most likely be undefeated.

Thanks, yeah It could happen, Gameday is in Madison next weekend, hopefully they will be fine with being at 2 big ten schools in three weeks. They should have no problem with it since they practically live in the SEC, but then again it is the SEC/ESPN relationship so who knows. Best thing we can do is beat michigan and wisky to keep the hopes alive

if wisconson and iowa win next week. i think gameday is in ic for the wisconson game... wisonson would just iowa and it would be like a 11 vs 13 matchup

this are the matchups of that week

9 lsu vs 7 auburn(for gameday we need auburn to lose to arkansas)
5 nebraska vs 20 oklahoma st.( it would help if oklahoma state loses to texas tech)

this is only if wisconson upsets osu.

I promise I'm not flaming here, but pls explain the obsession with having game day come to Iowa City?
They never give us any props or respect (particularly fowler), and posters on here routinely slag the entire crew and their SEC bias.
So tell me why we would even want these tools in IC?

true true...since gameday won't make two straight trips to the same place i would rather have them there for the michigan state game, just because michigan state is undefeated

I wouldn't predict it to happen. I do think GameDay will be in IC for the Ohio State game, and GameDay is planning on that. If you look at the weekend schedule for the weekend that OSU is in IC, it is clearly the most attractive game. Knowing that in advance, they won't want to put themselves in a position to come to IC twice.

Because it's a great show, a lot of fun to attend, and would be great exposure for the program?

I like herby. They bring tremendous atmosphere to where ever they go. and im in highschool and would never let my buddies live it down that i have been to college gameday.

Fowler is the only tool on there. Corso is just the comedic relief (sort of). He doesn't do that much real analysis anymore, and Herby is my favorite analyst out there. If they replaced Fowler with say Brad Nessler, it'd see a total 180 in fan approval (from the non-SEC/Big 12 schools).

Nope. Gameday has their sights set on OSU v Iowa. Assuming that we both win out to that point... Now if OSU were to lose in the next 2 weeks,(and MSU & Iowa win) then yes it is VERY possible that Gameday will be in IC on gameday v MSU...

Not if they are planning Gameday for OSU vs Michigan the week after we play OSU. They won't do two Ohio St. weeks in a row so if we get bumped for OSU (which is BS) MSU is a possibility.

I am just amazed at how everyone thinks Gameday is all of that. Who cares. I get the feeling that my fellow Hawk fans are so inferior that they just want to be noticed. The post yesterday that said they saw three people hold up signs at the gameday game that said go hawks says so much about what shallow live people are leading. Who the hell cares. You will never find a more ardent Hawkeye than me but when I read this stuff, I am truely embarassed about some of my fellow fans.

It'll be Mizzou vs Nebby for sure. No WAY will national media pass up a chance to cover the "resurgent" Huskers.

If we win this week, Michigan won't look so attractive. Nothing will be on the line in The Game if Michigan already has 2 (minimum) conference losses.

Some of you guys are idiots. Why WOULDN'T you want the biggest and most watched college football show in the country to be IN YOUR BACKYARD?! Also, if you think it is "no big deal" then you were not at Gameday in 2006. I was, and it is a big deal. I would take Gameday in Iowa City every weekend over not having it there. Get over yourself.

No doubt, it's nice to have the attention on IC, but if their NOT there, it's not the end of the world. The game is played the same way. Just like last year, Iowa got snubbed a few times, but then snuck into a BCS game.

Hey Kobe, take it easy. No need to call me an idiot. I just floated a question.
Based on the hatred of all things ESPN that I usually read around here, it strikes me as pretty two-faced to lust after gameday.
Fowler sucks!
Desmond Howard is a doosh!
Dr. Lou sucks!
Mark May sucks!
Herby is/is not a fosu homer!
Corso is befuddled!
ESPN is totally in the bag for the SEC!
BUT WE WANT GAMEDAY! WAH WAH WAH!!

VH, I apologize. I had a weak moment. The Saints and/or Chargers are about to cost me a $750 win. I was and still am frustrated.

Anyhow, I agree with everything you said about all the ESPN people sucking. BUT 2 things- ERIN ANDREWS will be there is Gameday is!!! The other, there is no way ESPN being in Iowa City can be anything but a positive thing regardless of how dumb the ESPN guys are. All of America watches, and many recruits do too.

OK, back to cheering for the Saints and Chargers to PULL THEIR HEADS OUT OF THEIR BIELEMAS!!!
