Cory Clark

Listening to Mark Ironside talking about Iowa Wrestling and Cory Clark. He sounds pretty excited about what Clark has shown on and off the mat. He mentioned that Clark's mentality makes him tough. Also stated that when he (Ironside) walks in the room, Clark picks him out to wrestle. Excited to see this kid on the mat.

I said it last year and I'll say it again, even though I got attacked after I said it.

Cory Clark is going to be a NC before his career at Iowa is over. He could end up being better than McDonough before all is said and done.

I too believe that Clark will be a National Champion and hopefully he can get a couple. With that said, I'll be shocked if he can make three straight Championships matches like McD did. Guys like McD are very rare so to say that Clark is going to be better is a pretty high expectation. Don't get me wrong, I hope Clark can be the next McD but lets not forget how difficult it is to have a career like McD's.

Exactly. Clark could have an amazingly successful career and still not match what McD did. look at how tough Ramos is and his resume is far below McD. An argument could be made that you'd have to go back as far as McIlravy to find a hawk w/ more recent success than McD. that would include quite a list of studs (ironside, McGinness, Tj williams, schwab, juergens, even Metcalf) So i agree w/ Goiahawks. We all think Clark is a stud, but to match and exceed w/ McD did will be pretty unlikely.
