Conversation with Orange Bowl Ticket Office

For those that have been to bowl games through the years, I think you would agree with me when I say there is no "side" to bowl games. Yes, the Hawks are on one side of the field and Georgia Tech is on the other but that's only for the players. Fans from both teams will be dispersed throughout the stadium. There will be Hawk fans mixed in with the GT fans in "their" endzone and GT fans mixed in with the Hawk fans in "our" endzone.

I have to disagree. It is normally pretty split amongst schools, although you will see some mixed loyalty scattered throughout. I still remember the Capital One Bowl after "the catch". The opposite corner of the stadium was stunned silent, while our side was hugging and kissing everyone we could grab. I was definetly glad to be surrounded by Hawk fans at that moment.

Absolutely correct.

The Iowa allotment is from the mid-point in the west end zone to around the 50 yard line on the north side. The GT allotment is from the mid-point on the east end zone to around the 50 yard line on the south side (both lower and upper decks). Within those zones, you're going to be pretty much in with either Iowa or GT fans, assuming each sells out their allotment.

The rest of the stadium will be a mix, highly dependent on who sends the most fans.

My brother and i spent $450 each for Hotel and Flieght for 5 nights. 95 Dollar tickets for the game.

Zach, splurge a little, I mean you ARE the reigning Cy Young award winner! Plus how could you leave that girlfriend of yours at home! :D

JK man, good job getting those deals!

We went in 03 and didn't go through the University. It was a last minute deal and the best we could do.I think there will be a lot more Iowa people there come gametime.

Here is the most frustrating part for me. I'm a Gold Hawk, season ticket holder (4 seats) I bought 4 orange bowl tickets. My seats are in upper deck corner of the end zone. I paid $125 per seat plus $10 per ticket total of $135 per seat.

Corner endzone tickets through the Orange bowl are $95.

People with more ticket points than me got tickets lower level sideline for $135, those tickets are $195 through the ornage bowl. It seems to me like I'm subsidizing someone elses good seats and I end up in the rafters.

I emailed Pam Finlke about this and all she could say is that all tickets from Orange bowl were price at $125 + $10 processing fee.
