Congratulations to the McCaffery Family

Here's to hoping that Coach McCaffery has much success here at Iowa.

Not just because I love Iowa basketball, but because I always feel for kids who are uprooted and asked to leave all their friends behind. Seeing a picture of Fran kissing his son (in his new Iowa t-shirt) really struck me. It's hard enough to have kids change schools within the same district, let alone having to completely leave eveyone who has become part of their lives.

Fran is very clear & sincere in his excitement to be moving to Iowa City. As he has experienced first hand in the past, and as we all know, it is a VERY special place. I think Fran's whole-hearted belief in the quality of life in Iowa City will translate into positive things on the recruiting trail as well.

We have another high profile coach who obviously feels the same way, and things have worked out quite well for him.

Here's to hoping the McCaffery children are never made to relocate again until they all graduate from The University of Iowa.

Amen. It's easy to forget that despite their high profile jobs, they are people too. I'm quite sure they will enjoy living in Iowa.

Agree with everything you said and would like to add that the other "High Profile" in the above quote... is only "High Profile" because of what he has done here. It can deffinately be done in Iowa City.
