Congrats on your super bowl rings

Clearly. I'm still trying to sort out how the officials caused Goff to deliver a pass late to a wide open Cooks in the back of the end zone or to lob one up so that Gilmore could pick the pass off. I'll have to go to the Zapruder film for those.

We live in the era of blame everybody else... Being a victim is cool.

Momentum often changes on a dime, one hopes it is by a great play, not by a phantom flag to end a drive at the end of a tied game. Funny how the Patriots had no offensive holding calls against them. wink wink...

I think it is incompetence, more than living as a victim. Plus, officials tend to make calls for the "favorites" that's how they keep their jobs and get hired. Ohio State vs Iowa? Michigan vs Iowa? We are unbiased professionals, wink wink

Actually, they did. The Rams declined the penalty to take advantage of the clock stoppage. But, I understand from a fan's perspective how it goes. Pats fans saw nothing wrong. Pats-haters (more of those than probably Rams fans) saw it as a typical protect the champs favoritism. No different than Iowa getting flagged for 2 holding calls against Purdue in the final minutes of that game this year.

It was a big phantom call at the critical part of the game when the Rams were driving.

It isn't "how many" penalties, but when. Officials can call offensive holding every play, but only call it when they feel like it. For some reason, they called it on the key play to change the game.

The Patriots get special treatment, just the way it is. Plus they are cheaters, the coach, team and QB. Nice win dirtbags.

I'll put you firmly in the Pats-haters column.

I don't hate the Pats and am not a big NFL fan. I am a casual Rams fan for many years. It is the first Super Bowl I have watched in 15 years.

The Patriots haven't had to face any phantom/bad calls during the playoffs. Their offensive line is seldom called for holding, although there is holding on 90% of the plays. The Rams were called for phantom holding at a key point. Why then? Hmmmm. I got it, I understand how it works. Great for them. The officiating is a fraud. Not a fan.

Well, yours is the first time I've understood that "dirtbags" and "cheaters" were being used in a non-hateful way. At least I now know it's possible.

As for all the "Patriots are cheaters" stuff....for f***'s sake this gets old. I'm not a Pats fan, not a huge fan of any one NFL team but I do watch. This is group think at it's finest. They win because they're good.

But OK, let's play. Why exactly would the league do all this to help the Patriots win? It wouldn't be good for the league, it doesn't make them more money, it doesn't increase viewership or enhance the brand. What's the reason? Is Bob Kraft part of the New World Order? What is the "win" for the NFL minions to fix the outcome for the Pats?

There isn't one. Conspiracy squashed.
